As women who have developed skills and a network of women who include general contractors, landscapers, electricians, blacksmiths, plumbers, welders, equipment operators, we have learned that a community of skilled women is equipped to handle any project.  

The current and expanding gap in skilled trades professionals has created opportunities to make a successful career in skilled jobs historically not held by women.  The cutting-edge training available in Burke and Buncombe counties offer a great place to learn skills and apply them as an employee or an entrepreneur owning your own professional trades business.  

We strive to help women who are interested in careers in the trades by providing educational options, funding, career networking and entrepreneurship support, and help young women and those starting a 2nd career realize they can have a career in the trades.
